  • In the context of our LAMP project Prof. Christof Weinhardt explains the use of blockchains as decentralized and secure information and communication technology for local energy markets. Blockchains as a distributed information system offer the possibility for a decentralized interconnectedness of participants of local energy markets and the chance of an independence from current intermediaries in energy markets. Thus, they can help implement localized energy markets on a distributed level between residential households. Have a look at what Prof. Weinhardt explains!
