Digital Citizen Participation in Research Projects Engineering of digital participation modules for KIT research projects

  • Date: 02.08.2021
  • In Citizen Science, citizens should have the opportunity to actively participate in science. Platforms such as Twitter and Reddit, show how promising digital technologies can enable the exchange of information between users on a variety of topics. So what can modern digital participation processes look like in the context of research? The student team will work on the development of participation modules (up- and downvoting, discussions, prioritization and voting) for the scientific research process. The resulting part of a platform should enable citizens to contribute their own questions and ideas to research projects, allowing them to be constructively discussed, evaluated and developed.
