Recently, Oliver Resch participated in the first edition of the Public Participation in Sustainable Transitions Summer School in Groningen. The program featured expert talks covering diverse perspectives, including social sciences, economics, technical aspects, spatial planning, and legal considerations, providing a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges in public involvement in sustainability projects. In a collaborative group project, these insights were utilized to support the Ameland Energy Cooperative in transitioning to sustainable heating. A field trip to Ameland allowed participants to grasp the island's specific challenges and context. The program concluded with engaging presentations, where findings were discussed with Cooperative members.
