Publicly funded research projects often produce extraordinary results with great potential. However, transportation to the economic, political, or scientific audience is scarce. While the cooperation between research projects within a technology research program has improved in the past years in Germany, the demonstration of technical prototypes still happens far too rarely. As part of the Smart Data Accompanying Research of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy a collaborative technical demonstrator platform is conceptualized and implemented at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology. The focus of the project aDEPT is a collaborative technical demonstrator platform fostering participation and economic dissemination by the provision of a central contact point for web-based prototypes being advertised target-group-specifically. In essence, aDEPT has the goal to promote a cross-fertilization between research projects and the identification of the potential for cooperation based on participation tools.
