Research Interest
My research aims to develop adaptive systems that improve productivity while also promoting employee health. This aligns with the principles of Industry 5.0, which emphasize a human-centered approach and more intense interaction between humans and technology. Theoretically the human’s body is very capable of telling us about our needs (e.g. taking breaks, interrupt sedentary behavior) which are also a source of productivity. But in today's highly dynamic work environment we seem less and less able to listen to the body. This is why I use physiological signals (such as ECG) to address this problem by engineering the interaction between humans and technology/information systems so that workers can be more productive and stay healthy.
